Studios And Production Facilities
If you are interested in the history of Hollywood studios and the technical side of film and TV production, check out these links to the studio websites. These links are provided as a source of additional information about the studios. Please DO NOT contact the studios for tickets, directions or information about the shows produced at their facilities. The majority of these studios are not open to the general public; however, Warner Bros. Studios, Sony Pictures Studios and Universal Studios offer tours.

CBS STUDIO CENTER
In 1928 Mack Sennett Studios opened here and the surrounding area became known as Studio City. Since then hundreds of popular movies and TV series have been filmed at this location.
THE CULVER STUDIOS
Since 1918, we've been serving the visionaries, the mavericks and the independents of the industry, from David O. Selznick to Orson Welles to Alfred Hitchcock.
FOX STUDIOS
Established on land that used to be the ranch of Western Movie Star Tom Mix. Fox merged with Twentieth Century Pictures in 1935 and the company officially became Twentieth Century Fox.
HOLLYWOOD CENTER STUDIOS
Many classic films and television shows were produced here. Their website features a history of film and television production in Hollywood from the '20s to the present.
RALEIGH STUDIOS
The longest continually operating studio in the country! This studio began as as Famous Players Fiction Studios in 1915 and dates back to the earliest days of film production.
REN-MAR STUDIOS (RED STUDIOS)
Ren-Mar Studios began its Hollywood life as Metro Pictures in1915. The story of the Cahuenga Lot reads like the script of a Hollywood epic.
SONY PICTURES STUDIOS
Culver City is home to one of the oldest and most historic studio facilities. The Sony lot has had many names, but probably the most famous was.. MGM Studios.
